Project Summary

To carry out an independent review of a Tier 1 Oil and Gas Operator’s Invitation to Tender (ITT) prior to it being released to market.

The Challenge

  • A document which, over numerous years, had become confusing, complicated, extensive & missing pertinent detail
  • Previous attempts to update & streamline the document had resulted in additional content requests, further compounding the issue, subsequently delaying the release of the ITT to market
  • A risk existed, that, without audit and overhaul of the ITT document, numerous and unnecessary clarifications, incorrectly tendered bids, and alienation of bidders, would result, potentially even leading to contactors opting not to bid due to the uncertainty surrounding requirements.

The Solution

  • A full restructure of the ITT and cleansing all unnecessary information, maintaining pertinent and mandatory supporting material and, importantly, allowing for Scope of Work clarity
  • A comprehensive re-write of the ITT providing clarity on scope of work, key requirements and deliverables
  • ITT reinforced by a suite of supporting documentation held within appendices
  • The re-worked ITT was subjected to full review by internal stakeholders, resulting in rapid approval and subsequently authorised for issue to market
  • An ITT that was well delivered to market, resulting in minimal clarifications being fielded and ultimately well prepared and accurate bids being received
